The Bode’s Galaxy is a spiral Galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major. The galaxy is about 12.000.000 LJ away. Another catalog number of the Bode’s Galxay beside Messier 81, M81 is NGC 3031. The Galaxy is namegiving for the galaxygroup M81.
The Cigar Galaxy is an irregular galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major and is about 14.000.000 LJ away. Another catalog number of Messier 82, M82 is NGC 3034. The galaxy belongs to the galaxygroup M81.
Bode’s and Cigar Galaxy, two well known Galaxies on the spring sky. I really like the result for only 30 minutes total exposure.
